The Challenges

A decade of expertise without a digital home


Suzie is a culinary coach and former chef instructor at Jamie Oliver's culinary school in the UK, with over a decade of experience helping home cooks build confidence in the kitchen. Now based in Toronto, she had built a loyal client base through word-of-mouth and in-person classes, but her online presence told a different story. A Fiverr logo and basic color palette served as her only brand identity — functional, but lacking the warmth and intentionality her coaching embodied. Her self-built website compounded the problem: cluttered navigation, inconsistent calls-to-action, and no clear path for new clients to understand her offerings or take the next step.


Beyond the technical issues, there was an untapped opportunity. Culinary coaching is sensory and personal — textures, colors, the feeling of gathering around a kitchen. None of that came through visually. Suzie needed a brand that could communicate the same nurturing, confidence-building experience she delivers in person.

The Solutions

Strategy-led identity, built from the inside out


We began with brand strategy — defining Suzie's audience, values, voice, and competitive positioning. From there, the visual identity took shape: a warm, handcrafted system grounded in earthy tones, organic textures, and typography that feels inviting without being overly casual.


A custom illustration and pattern system — hand-drawn kitchen tools, gingham, wood grain, tartan — gave the brand depth and flexibility across digital platforms, social content, and future merchandise. Every element was designed with longevity in mind.


The website was rebuilt for clarity and conversion. A simplified structure with intentional hierarchy guides visitors from curiosity to action: the homepage builds trust, the services page reduces friction, and the about page deepens connection. Consistent calls-to-action across every page make it easy to book.

The Result

In its first year, Suzie's website attracted over 545 unique visitors and 907 total sessions — up from essentially zero before launch. Monthly traffic saw a 336% increase, with 100% of visitors being new, meaning the site is consistently reaching fresh audiences rather than cycling the same people.


More importantly, she now has a cohesive visual system she can apply confidently across every touchpoint — from social media to printed materials to future merchandise. The brand doesn't just look the part; it functions as a growth tool.
